HONEY WHEAT BREAD
Ingredients
5t. active dry yeast
1/2 warm water
1and1/4 cups milk
1and1/4 cups warm water
3T honey
3T. shortening
1T. salt
1and1/2 cups unbleached flour
1ans1/2 cups whole wheat flour
Instructions
Dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup water
In a large bowl add milk, rest of the water, shortening, honey. and salt.Warm in microwave to 105* to 115*.Pour into mixer bowl with dough hook attachment. Add the unbleached flour and the whole wheat flour. Stir until well combined and ten knead in mixer for 10 minutes. Transfer to an oiled bowl, cover and let rise until doubled.Punch down and knead again. When doubled in size , divide into two pieces. Place in 2 greased bread pans. Cover and let lrise again. Bake at 450*for 10 minutes. Turn down the heat to 350* and bake for another 30 minutes. Remove from oven and cool completely before slicing.
