Corn Bread with Jalapenos and Cheese
Ingredients
- ½ Cup butter
- ½ Teaspoon salt
- 2/3 Cup sugar
- 1 Cup grated Cheddar cheese
- 2 Beaten eggs
- ½ Cup diced jalapenos-seeds removed
- 1 Cup buttermilk
- ½ Teaspoon baking soda
- 1 Cup cornmeal
- 1 Cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
Melt butter and cool. Add buttermilk and eggs; mix well.
Stir dry ingredients together and add the wet to the dry.
Mix in the cheese and jalapenos. Spray an 8- inch baking pan with non-stick spray.
Pour in the cornbread mix and bake at 375* for 30-40 minutes until top is golden brown.
